Hate a lot Smkers ( this one is for Amarjeet)

The smoky-smokerson is a friend of ours. He is known as so because he smokes a lot, therefore he is also known as Mr. Smokes-a-lot. His daily life is a lot different than that of ours, but similar to people of his own species i.e. ‘Sutta Samaj’. His day-to-day proceedings include waking up and then smoking a ‘stick from hell’ to connect to the nature for his natures call. Then he smokes another one to wake up and one during breakfast for daily chores and sets to work. There also he can’t stop burning and sucking on those sticks as if those are some health support systems without which breathing is impossible.
Now, let’s talk about friends of smoky-smokerson, especially those who don’t smoke. Secondary or passive smoking is much more harmful as they inhale the waste thrown out by the smokes-a-lot friends. Thus, our smoker friends are actually not our friends but in a way ‘hell raiser’ coz they exhale to kill.
Being pessimist in this context does not show that am overwhelmed but this is normal reaction. We, their surroundings are getting hurt because of them. Every year more than 10 million people die in the world because of lung cancer caused due to smoking out of which only around 60% of people are actually smokers the rest of them of passive smokers.
Smoking is a habit which is vested in people in their early ages especially India, because of many orphans, child labour, poverty and many other haunting problems. Smoking is a habit which elders seldom catch; smokers can be divided under certain category according to how they caught this habit. Poor kids or elders get prone to it because of their situation both physical and mental, the peer pressure from domestic (read, imbalance) and society, which is always wrong but sometimes justifiable. The other group includes rich kids or elders, they do this to look cool, or domestic violence which are the most common cause in case of rich kids.
Here, in India what is needed to get rid of such situation is the social responsibility of a person as government here has done enough i.e., it has made enough laws relevant to this problem. Being nonchalant to this killer disease will not help, the non-smoking act in public places passed, should be effectively implemented by not only the respective authorities but also general citizens.
Putting up 2-3 day camps, road rallies, protest, posters etc. will not put a long lasting effect on smoking community as most of the smokers (both literates and some illiterates) know the ill-effects of smoking. Smoking is like a bad habit which can also be curbed like all other such habits, the smokers should ponder on this. Smoking destroys your lungs, your whole respiratory system, ruins your mind, body and soul, and the most important cut short your lives and kills you young but that is what you are doing to yourselves (for careless people) but think of people you love, whose life you are ruining.
Me thinks that people reading this article are well educated to know the after effects, howsoever tempting a cigarette may seem but before lighting the ‘evil wrapped in colour of purity’ think about yourself, people you love, how beautiful life is and how much you want to live more to see birds dancing and singing, sun rising on horizon and then setting down to come back, kids laughing and other beautiful things in this world. So, I wind up my Juke-box of preaching hoping that after reading all this, just another counter-smoking article will put an impact on your lives and pose a different picture of life in front of you.
